Representation Of Law Enforcement Officers Throughout the Salt Lake Valley

Currently SLVLEA represents officers from 5 police departments, corrections and protective services. The Association is a collection of leaders and to quote Harry Truman, “Progress occurs when courageous, skillful leaders seize the opportunity to change things for the better.”

The SLVLEA Local 77 is under the IUPA umbrella.  IUPA offers many benefits to its members such as vacation packages and numerous discount packages (see IUPA benefits).  The Association also utilizes benefits such as pay studies, Officer relief funds and the Legal Defense fund provided by PORAC.

PORAC is an organization utilized by IUPA for the Legal Defense Fund.  PORAC is mainly utilized in events such as Officer Involved shootings or critical incidents where we would have to use expert witnesses and testimony.   PORAC is only approved through the Association Board and the Labor Attorneys.
